Beautiful Rooms
We are ideally situated at the tip of Wensleydale in the heart of some of the most beautiful walking countryside in England. You have the choice of several walking routes from right outside our door into the beautiful surrounding countryside. Check out Brigantes English Walks if you're looking for a guided tour. We're also only 40 minutes away from the Lake District so you definitely won't be stuck for things to do!
Goats & Oats at Garsdale is a beautifully converted barn attached to our home with its own separate entrance. You’ll be provided with a key so you can come and go as you like during your stay.
Each room has lots of charm and character while offering all the modern day facilities including high speed WiFi that make The Garsdale an outstanding place to stay.
The drive to Goats & Oats was just breathtaking, we followed the river Ure all the way & the closer to the B&B we got, the more spectacular the views got. I have never seen anything like it before.
Hello! We're Graham and Linda owners of
Goats & Oats at Garsdale - formerly known as Garsdale House.
It's been a dream of ours to run a Bed and Breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales!
We want you to enjoy your
stay at our B&B
so if there's anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable just let us know!
All of
our food
is plant based and we trust that you'll absolutely love it.
We’re 5 miles from Hawes (a 10 minute drive) which is England’s highest village being some 850 feet above sea level. It’s a small market town with many interesting museums, antique shops and a traditional rope makers workshop.
It's an ideal place to cycle, hike, take a leisurely stroll to the River Ure or relax with a book here at Garsdale (with a slice of cake of course!)
