Amazing...
Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Owners were so accommodating, even to the point of asking what food our dog eats. Room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable bed. Amazing scones in our room on arrival, nice little bonus😀. Breakfast great choice we had fluffy pancakes they were the best pancakes I have ever eaten. Would 100% book here again.

The Perfect B&B!
If you are coming off the hills, following a long day of bikepacking in the Yorkshire Dales, wet through and tired, you could not wish for a warmer welcome. Linda and Graham are lovely hosts who clearly take a lot of pride in offering a first class service.
The room was massive, I loved that there was real coffee available, (and homemade rock cakes!), and the breakfast was fab. They even gave me some cakes for my onward journey.
Oh - and took all my wet kit from me to dry it out in their dry room. And if like me you're cycling there, there is secure storage for your bike in their garage. Finally, there's a really nice pub right next door too. I loved this place.

Outstanding...
Perfect hosts in every way. Food was outstanding - vegan, but couldn’t have been improved in any way.
Very well appointed rooms - everything you could want, including a plate of fresh homemade scones!!
I cannot recommend this place more - thank you for allowing my self and my mother the opportunity to spend the night.

Just perfect...
Just perfect. This was our second time to stay at the Goats and Oats. The room was spotless and so tastefully decorated. What a comfy bed!
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The location is idyllic. We had yummy warm rock cakes ready for us on arrival and Linda made us lovely bara brith cake during our stay. We had a wonderful time.
Linda and Graham are just the most welcoming hosts. We will definitely go again.

Absolutely brilliant...
If we could give Linda and Graham a billion stars we would!! Absolutely brilliant people with hearts of gold, booked on our way back from Aviemore, broke down and was not sure we would make it, still had the room done lovely for us when we arrived with some home made scones for our hungry bellies!
Our room was so delightful & clean. Properly felt like we were at home and comfortable. My partner made breakfast which was lovely, as I was too cosy in the big king-sized bed, but when we were to set off they gave us some beautiful pancakes to take on our ride home!!
Will definitely be back again with the family, cannot recommend enough. Beautiful sceanery, especially the clear night sky full of stars! Thanks so much again Linda & Graham, see you next year. Nic & Dean x

Beautiful location, warm welcome...
A lovely warm welcome from Graham and Linda. The room was cosy and spacious, with beautiful views.
We had a homecooked dinner and breakfast, all plant based, and it was delicious. The location was stunning and we went for a lovely walk starting right from the B&B.

Hidden Gem
2nd time we have stayed in the pennine room and it's just as good as i remember. It is spotless clean, great shower, bed, large TV that actually works including Netflix!
Homemade rock cakes in the room on arrival with plenty tea/coffee. It's been red hot and thankfully lovely aircon in the room. I had the homemade granola followed by peanut butter on toast and chris had a full English all cooked really well and plenty on the plate.
You don't go away hungry and let's just day we have large appetites. We ate in one of the nights and had a chilli with rice/wedge and all the extras followed by a hot blueberry crumble cake served with ice cream. Again it was delish.
We are both plant based but others who stopped at the same time were not but when speaking with them at breakfast they loved it just as much as us. Basically it has everything you need and more, Linda and Graham cant do enough to make you feel welcome. Looking forward to coming again later in the year.

A wonderful post-lockdown stay.
We were delighted to be amongst the first guests here after lockdown. The property is in a beautiful peaceful location with walks from the door, in a lovely part of the world. Linda and Graham were a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating and charming hosts and were particularly welcoming to our two Cavapoos who very much enjoyed their stay too; very dog friendly.
The accommodation was spotless, and the fresh home cooked vegan food was plentiful and delicious and is likely to open the eyes and tastebuds of inquisitive non-vegans. We would certainly love to return and have no hesitation in highly recommending Goats and Oats to others. We enjoyed a fabulous walk recommended by Graham (not in the guide books) to nearby Great Knoutberry Hill which afforded superb 360 degree views, and retired to bed, and awoke, to the bubbling cry of the Curlews. Great for nature lovers.

Goats & Oats is amazing!
100% recommend whole heartedly a stay at Goats & Oats!
Sadly our car was involved in a flooding incident and written off - so we were left stranded very far from home with soaking wet belongings, a written off car and feeling pretty sorry for ourselves.
Graham and Linda have been absolutely amazing and gone above and beyond - washing and drying our clothes, providing the most unbelievably amazing meals and snacks (including fresh out the oven warm scones with butter, cream and jam) - and making us feel so comfortable and at home.
The breakfasts are amazing - full cooked breakfast and pancakes are fantastic! and optional dinners too, which are filling and so tasty (we loved the sticky toffee pudding!)
The rooms are beautiful and have everything you could need including lovely towels, homemade rock buns and kettle - tea and coffee making facilities. TV has Netflix included and just an amazing friendly atmosphere.
It's a 10 out of 10! ❤️

Wonderful and peaceful...
We had such a wonderful time and were sad to leave - 3 nights weren't enough! The food was some of the best we have had: huge breakfasts and, if you have the chance, the evening meals were better than you would get in a restaurant (especially the curry!).
We particularly enjoyed all of the home made vegan cakes as well😄Linda and Graham are really kind and thoughtful and were great with our 7 year old. The room was spotless, really comfortble and had luxury vegan products. The area is simply stunning and peaceful - perfect for fell walking and nature spotting.
Pros: Kind and thoughtful hosts, Fully vegan yummy food and cakes, Spotlessly clean and comfortable

Fabulous Vegan B&B
Fantastic from start to finish. Linda and Graham greeted us with delicious cakes and made us feel so welcome. They were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The rooms were tastefully designed and very comfortable. The view from our window was stunning.
The food was incredible, everything was vegan, freshly made and delicious. They are now licensed to sell alcohol and have a good selection of wines and ales. Graham’s homemade hooch is amazing too. We will definitely be returning.

Perfect in every way. Stunning location, accommodation and food. Linda and Graham are the most welcoming of hosts and make you feel more than 'just guests'.
Breakfast is the best you will ever get ...homemade and hearty to set you up for the day ahead.

We had a lovely time...
The location is stunning, second to none, the rooms are luxurious in every way. However these are surpassed by the friendly welcome and the nothings to much service we were privileged to experience from Linda and Graham.
Goats and Oats is without doubt the best B&B we've ever stayed in and I don't just recommend it I advise people to try it. Definitely 5 star.
